  46. BigClipper will allow you to make almost any size
  47. /photo scrap you want from a geoPaint file.  There
  48. 9are a few restrictions based on the way photo
  49. Cscraps are handled by geoWrite and geoPaint.  The
  50. Mheight and width must be an even multiple of 8
  51. Wpixels. Also, since color information applies to an
  52. a8x8 square, and BigClipper does not require you to
  53. kmake your clipping on an even 8x8 square, BigClipper
  54. uignores color, and stores the clipping as black on a
  55. grey3 background.  There is an 8k buffer limit, so
  56. some clippings may be too big or complex to fit.
  57. To create a scrap, you will need to supply the top
  58. /and bottom of the clipping.  The top scanline will
  59. 9be included in the scrap and the bottom will not. 
  60. CYou will also need to supply the left and right
  61. Msides of the clipping.  Again, the left line will be
  62. Wincluded in the scrap and the right will not.  If you
  63. asupply a set of numbers which are not an even
  64. kmultiple of 8 pixels, BigClipper will add to the
  65. ubottom (or right) pixels as needed and asks you to
  66. confirm or cancel the request.
  67. BigClipper displays the left side of the original
  68. /picture as it reads it in.  After the clip has been
  69. 9made, it will display the top/left portion of the clip
  70. Cand display a menu allowing you to move the
  71. Mdisplay left, right, up, or down to see the rest of
  72. Wthe clipping.  The save option writes a photo scrap
  73. ato disk and returns you to the main screen.   The
  74. kresize option allows you to select a different set
  75. uof coordinates for the cut. 
  76. BigClipper does not remove anything from the
  77. /original photo.
  78. 9Remember that there are limits to the size of the
  79. Cphoto scrap which can be pasted into geoWrite and
  80. MgeoPaint (depending on which version you are
  81. Wrunning). If you use BigClipper to make a scrap
  82. abigger than these will handle, they will truncate the
  83. kscrap to fit the limits.  
  84. uThere is a limit to the size of the buffer, and a
  85. large clip or complex photo may not fit.  BigClipper
  86. will request a new set of coordinates if needed.
